What are Your Special Plans for Thanksgiving?

Cooking
a perfect meal for all near and dear ones is always special and memorial. The
day is known for recollecting everything to date and spending the best meal of
the year.

But,
is it the same for your pet as well? Are the foods that you prepare to cheer
people are same food for your pet also? Well, to make you realize the answer is
NO. The foods that you prepare for your friends, family to have fun are not the
right food for your pet.

Let’s see which and why!

Chocolates

The
sweet beginning to any thanksgiving starts with lots and tons of
chocolate-based baking items. And offering one piece to your pet won’t be a
problem as per your understanding. But, chocolates and coffee both are harmful
to pets. They have methylxanthines which cause diarrhea, vomiting, stomach
imbalance and can even result in sudden death.

Alcohol

A set
of wine bottles and alcohol is the cherry on the top of the eve. But you must
always be aware that your pet does not consume it. Though the cases of pets
getting involved in alcohol are less because they do not like its taste. But if
ever they consume it they will experience trouble in breathing, diarrhea,
seizures, and vomiting. Remember alcohols are highly concentrated drinks and
designed especially for humans. It’s even one sip and tongue lick is harmful to
a pet’s health.

 Turkey

Turkey to temptation is just the special dish of thanksgiving and considering it healthy meat you would want to give to your pet. But, it’s not healthy for him. These fatty foods are very difficult for pets to digest. These raw meats imbalances the entire digestive system and upsets the stomach. This even leads to red blood cell damage. So, avoid turkey with bone, seasoned and undercooked. A small properly boiled piece of turkey is sufficient to give them.

Salad with Raisins and Grapes

A
sweet salad with cheese, cheery, pineapple with a few grapes is a great treat
for you but not for him. Dogs are too much allergic to Grapes and Raisins and
can lead to kidney failure as well. It can cause severe problems to health. You
must be sure that no dish should have any gist of grapes and raisins.

Stuffing, Dressing, Filling

Stuffing
is usually made with ginger, garlic, onions, oil, herbs, dry species which are
harmful to dogs’ and cats’ life. They cause anemia – the destruction of Red
Blood Cells. So anything which is cooked with stuffing or is filled with all
such things or even if it is just the dressing on the top? You must avoid
giving it to your pet.
